What you Need
800 grams plain flour
60 grams sugar
120 grams melted butter
1/2 tea spoon ground cardamom (optional)
600 ml milk
70 grams fresh yeast
200 grams chocolate for the "guilty pleasure"
1 egg for glaze and pearl sugar (optional)
What to do
- Add flour, sugar and cardamom to a bowl
- Melt the butter and add the milk to the butter - this mix should have a temperature at about 25 degrees
- Add the fresh yeast to a glass and some of the milk/butter mix. Whisk until the yeast has dissolved.
- Add the yeast/milk/butter mix together with the rest of the milk/butter mix to the bowl.
- Mix it all together.
- Knead the dough for about 10 min.
- Set aside, cover with a tea towel and let the dough rest for about 1 hour - until it's double in size
When the dough is set
- Slice the dough into 4 equally large pieces.
- Use a rolling pin and flatten the dough into a large circle or a square - See photo above
- Cut the circle/square into triangle pizza pieces.
- Add a chocolate bite to the short side, and roll the pieces into horns
- Let the horns rest for 1 hour on a baking tray
- set the oven to 180 degrees, glaze with egg mix and pearl sugar (optional)
- Cook for 20-25 minutes.
- Enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee
